JINC allows young people in Amsterdam to acquaint themselves with the business world. The main focus is career orientation and mastering new skills necessary for finding a good job. The results? An accurate choice of academic paths, a reduced chance of dropping out and a better outlook regarding employment.

More than 400 companies and institutions in Amsterdam are participating in JINC’s projects, by offering company visits and practical assignments, as well as providing mentors, trainers and coaches. This will ensure that more than 13,000 students from the ages of 8-16 years will be reached in 2010.

JINC is a society of companies and institutions with more than 100 subscribing members. The contributions cover 60% of JINC’s expenditure. 20% is contributed by the district, while the remaining 20% is generated by occasional project subsidies and the municipality.

JINC’s activities are initiated and carried out by fifteen employees. The management and the members maintain the society’s course and strategy, and supervise the performance of the activities.
